Nathalia Boarding Kennels & Cattery is a picturesque 3(ish)-hectare rural property located alongside the pretty Broken Creek (see map below).
We are located approx 4km east of Nathalia at 401 Nathalia-Waaia Road.
- From Melbourne (depending on where you live) Nathalia is approximately 2.5 hours (+) drive directly north.
- To the southeast is Shepparton (approximately a half-hour drive), and a similar distance to the southwest is Echuca/Moama.
Driving Instructions
Google map users, please type in ‘Nathalia Boarding Kennels‘ and NOT our physical address. Unless you care for an impromptu ‘location’ adventure!
From Shepparton/Kialla/Nagambie
- Head NORTH out of Shepparton on Goulburn Valley Highway.
- Turn LEFT onto Shepparton-Barmah Road.
- After approx 15 km – turn RIGHT to WAAIA.
- After approx 16 km – when in Waaia – turn LEFT onto Nathalia-Waaia Road – (turn-off is just BEFORE the Waaia Pub).
- You have 9 km further to drive. Once the road bends sharply (beware here!) and begins to follow the creek, we are the first gate on the RIGHT after Leafs Road.
From Echuca/Kyabram
- Head to Nathalia via the Murray Valley HWY from ECHUCA/Kyabram.
- Continue on the Murray Valley Highway to the other (North) side of Nathalia.
- Turn RIGHT onto Railway Street (just before the silos at James’s Stockfeed and Fertilizer).
- Turn (first road) LEFT onto Nathalia-Waaia Road (the Signpost will say WAAIA).
- Stay on the bitumen ROAD (there will be a dog leg).
- The road curves and begins to follow the creek.
- We are on the LEFT – look out for our purple signs.
From Moama
- Take the COBB HWY travelling North from MOAMA.
- Turn RIGHT onto Barmah Road heading towards BARMAH.
- After the township of Barmah, continue (verging right) onto Nathalia-Barmah road.
- Turn LEFT onto the Murray Valley HWY towards Nathalia.
- After that, follow our Echuca/Kyabram directions.
From Melbourne
- Travel on the HUME HWY towards Seymour and take the Nagambie/Shepparton EXIT.
- Continue north through Shepparton on the Goulburn Valley Highway.
- After that follow our Shepparton directions.
From Cobram/Tocumwal/Yarrawonga
- Head South towards Nathalia on Murray Valley HWY.
- Turn LEFT onto Waaia-Bearii Road towards WAAIA.
- Head through the township of Waaia.
- Turn RIGHT onto Nathalia-Waaia Road- AFTER Waaia Pub.
- You have 9 km further to drive. When the road curves (sharply) and begins to follow the creek – you are almost there.
- We are the first gate on the RIGHT after Leafs Road.
