Due to our current capacity limits, we’re pressing the “paws” button on accepting bully breeds for now, and giving priority to those already in our doggy database.
We know bully breeds are big softies at heart, but in our lively environment, they can present some unique challenges (think: enthusiastic zoomies with extra horsepower). To be fair, any dog—no matter how tiny or fiesty or zen-like—might nip if they’re anxious, uncertain, or just having an off day. The thing is, when a bully breed reacts, it’s a bit like swapping a water pistol for a super-soaker: the results pack a much bigger punch!
Bully Breed List

Bully breeds, whether mixed or pure, include the following:
- American Pit Bull Terrier,
- American Bully,
- Boston Terrier,
- Bulldog – American & Olde (Large)
- Bull Terrier
- Dogo Argentino,
- Dogue de Bordeaux,
- Cane Corso,
- Mastiffs
- Ridgeback,
- Rottweilers,
- Shar-pei,
- Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Staffy)
- (and other large-jawed dogs not on this list).
- Medium to small squishy-faced breeds – acceptance is based on individual assessment:
- Boxer*
- Bulldogs* (English & French)
*While we do consider some squishy-faced breeds for boarding, each request is reviewed individually. Their unique looks can confuse other dogs (who may wonder if it’s a fellow canine or a snoring potato), which sometimes leads to unpredictable interactions. This requires targeted management by our purple people. We base acceptance on the dog’s personality, with ‘chill’ being the VIP pass—overly energetic squishy-faces can stir things up like a matador in a bull ring!
Workaholic Caps
We put a cap on the number of other breeds on our grounds—especially the workaholics like Kelpies, Cattle Dogs, Border Collies, and of course, the ever-diligent German Shepherds. So yes, we welcome these breeds, but spots are as rare as a Kelpie without energy!
