About our Puppy Training Programs
An overview of our training techniques and trainer/s can be found here. The following information pertains to our on-site puppy boarding school.
Our puppy programs are thoughtfully designed to meet the unique needs of your growing pup during their critical development stages. We focus on building strong foundations in manners and obedience from the very beginning, while also nurturing confidence, resilience, and healthy socialisation in real-world environments.
Training is personalised based on your puppy’s developmental stage, breed-specific instincts, and the home environment they’ll be adapting to. Through a balance of structure, play, and social exposure, we aim to help your puppy grow into a confident, well-mannered companion.

Each puppy program includes the following:
- Free Pre-training phone consult to assess and tailor the course to your individual needs
- A quote – if you accept, payment is made up-front
- Training during boarding (training costs are static, boarding costs are not)
- Email reports about your dog’s progress.
- Handover with owner/s 1.5 hours (last day of board)
- 1 hour private post-board training session* (to be conducted within 4 weeks of departure).
*About the Post Board Training Session
- As most obedience issues typically occur at home or in familiar environments (such as walking tracks), we encourage you to consider an off-site visit by Heather. However, as travel costs are involved, you are also welcome to elect an on-site session.
- Off-site training must occur within a 60km radius of NBKC.
- Travel costs will be added to the quote if you choose this option.
